The same flaxseed-seasoned Colombian cast iron as the 10”, with enough surface to sear four portions without crowding — the point at which meat steams instead of browning. Pour spouts both sides, long handle, and a helper handle opposite so it can come out of the oven full. Induction, gas and oven safe. 12 inches across the top.
Price we've observed
Every point is a price this site read on the maker's own page on the day shown. It is not a market low, and it is not scraped from a price tracker — it is only what we have seen ourselves. Today's price is the lowest we've recorded.
There's room for a small cabbage cut into wedges, each with a bit of root left on to hold the leaves together. Keep the heat moderate and don't turn them until the cut face is deep brown.
Twelve inches is the size that stops you cooking in two batches, which is the whole argument for owning it alongside a smaller pan. It is heavy enough to hold its heat when four steaks go in cold, and that thermal mass is the thing a thin pan cannot fake.
