Coco Strainer
The second strainer that keeps shaken drinks clean

This is the fine strainer you hold in one hand while you pour with the other, catching what the hawthorne on your tin lets through. Shake a drink with muddled mint, citrus pulp, or fresh berries and you get shards of ice and bits of fruit skin in the glass without it. The cone shape means you can work fast, tilting it over the coupe as the liquid runs through, instead of scraping a flat mesh disc clean between pours. Three inches across sits right over most cocktail glasses and coupes without you needing to reposition mid-pour. It lives by the shaker tins, not in a drawer.
Any bar making shaken drinks with fresh produce needs a second strain, and the cone shape works faster under service pressure than a flat mesh disc that has to sit balanced on the rim. You pour through it in one motion, tilt, done, next ticket. It earns its spot next to the shaker tins because it is the difference between a drink that looks finished and one that has ice dust settling on top by the time it reaches the guest.
